Frontier Home: Living Off The Grid 
Winds of Skilak is a difficult book ;to put down. The story rings so true that it pulls you deeper and deeper into the book. Bonnie Ward makes you feel as if you were right there with her and Sam through this wilderness adventure. My wife Anita and I, cheered and cried all the way through and we were sorry to come to the end of the book. This is a true life story with so many lessons of love, faith and living your dreams before it is too late. I can only imagine the many people who called you both crazy but you must be so happy to have cast aside convention and did it your way. I’m buying copies for both of my brothers. I know they are going to love this book.

Thank you so much, Richard and Anita! It is always so nice to hear from the folks that read my book. I appreciate your kind words regarding my book. I’m sure there were some folks that thought we were crazy going against the mainstream of society to fulfill a dream of living off the land. There were times that I probably thought we were crazy living in a pup tent for three months in a hostile environment where bears and wolves far outnumber people. However, any hardship we endured was well worth our decision to leave the constraints of modern society to make a home in the wilderness.
